Monét X Change
Drag queen, singer, and reality television personality Monét X Change came to prominence in 2018 after competing on the tenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race and winning the fourth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. In 2019, she released her debut Unapologetically EP.
Born Kevin Bertin on the sovereign Caribbean island country of Saint Lucia, Monét X Change moved with her family to Brooklyn around age 11. A singer from a young age, she trained in opera performance at New Jersey's Westminster Choir College of Rider University. There, she debuted with the Westminster Opera Theater in Mozart's Così Fan Tutte. She also appeared as Sarastro in a production of Mozart's Die Zauberflöte and was a featured soloist with the Westminster Choir. As a drag performer, X Change first gained attention after winning the sixth annual Gay Caribbean USA Pageant in 2014. She came to even wider recognition in 2018 competing on the tenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Named "Miss Congeniality" during the season finale, X Change finished in sixth place overall. That same year, however, she competed in and ultimately won the fourth season of RuPaul's Drage Race All Stars, sharing the crown with fellow contestant Trinity Tuck. Following her time on Drag Race, Monét X Change began hosting the podcast Sibling Rivalry with Bob the Drag Queen. In 2019, she released her debut EP, Unapologetically. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
