Booth and Brennan investigate the apparent suicide of a protester in Arlington National Cemetery. But Brennan and her team discover this was not suicide, it was murder, and the victim was a soldier who had served in Iraq, not a war protester as originally thought. Booth and Brennan pursue the murder investigation and interrogate the American soldiers the victim served with in Iraq. Their investigation leads to many unanswered questions about the victim's military unit in Iraq and the actions they took while on patrol there. As they uncover more information about the case, all clues point to a potential military cover-up. Meanwhile, Booth laments the horrors of war and his own shady past as a military sniper.

Gaby comes to grips with the idea of having a blind husband; someone from Lynette's past surprises her by showing up at the pizzeria; Bree and Katherine work together to plan the Founders Day Ball.

Danny returns home to the surprise of everyone, but memories from the war plague him. Danny surprises Mary with a marriage proposal. Meanwhile, Ed, Mike and Danny discover three suspicious characters are on the government's "Most Wanted List."

Danny's generous act gets him into trouble with the police and leaves Ed having to clean up the mess. Ed must use old contacts to ensure that a guest does not ruin the casino's good name. Delinda argues with an arrogant chef over opening for lunch.

Celia wants in on Nancy's drug business. The surprise arrival of a fire inspector causes Heylia and Conrad to evacuate the plants from the warehouse. Andy takes Dean to play murderball. Doug steals the cross off the Majestic church.
