Mike Pniewski
Mike Pniewski started off small. After all, few remember him as the laser gunner in Mel Brooks's "Star Wars" parody, "Spaceballs." On the other hand, perhaps for the most rabid "Spaceballs" aficionados, this remains his most memorable performance. For those less obsessed with all things Schwartz-related, Pniewski has also appeared as several recurring characters on popular television series like creator Steven Bochco's "L.A. Law," in which he played the part of Judge James McCall. Legal shows clearly suited Pniewski, because he later donned the uniform of a police officer as Chief of Detectives Kenny Moran on creator Dick Wolf's "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." He has also appeared as a guest star on the original "Law & Order" and its other spin-off, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," as well as a number of similar shows like the forensics unit procedurals "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: New York." Mike Pniewski is an extremely prolific actor, often appearing in five or more TV or feature film productions each year.
