The Rock the Block renovation competition begins with the heart of the home -- the kitchen -- as each team tries to add the most value. Chopped's Ted Allen tests their mettle with a Design Twist, while HGTV's Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young judge.
The competition continues in week two as the teams tackle the first floor living spaces. From fancy doors to marble floors, each duo's unique strategy and design style flourishes, giving guest judge Page Turner a difficult task when choosing a winner.
After six weeks, a winner gets crowned, a street sign gets named and bragging rights get claimed on the finale of Rock the Block! Experts appraise the houses and the teams finally tour each other's beautiful work. Four teams competed, but only one wins.
The teams get down and dirty when they head upstairs to renovate the main bedroom and bath. It's high stakes as Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson come to blind judge, and the competitors know winning these important spaces could make any team a frontrunner.
Everyone heads down to the basements to design 1400 square feet of unfinished space, and tired of losing, two teams make big, expensive moves to grab the win. Then, a heavy metal band stops by for a Design Challenge, and Tamara Day comes to judge.
