Michelle DeShon
Michelle DeShon got the chance to showcase both her acting and musical talents in her first major role when she was cast as teenage singer-songwriter Anika Truman in marital drama "Satisfaction" (USA Network, 2014-). Born and raised in Gig Harbor, WA, DeShon first began performing in community theater, playing a munchkin in "The Wizard of Oz" aged five, and continued to pursue her acting ambitions while studying at Glendale College, CA. DeShon made her on-screen debut in an episode of pop music-based telenovela "Hollywood Heights" (Nick at Nite, 2012) and in 2014 added another soap opera to her resume with a one-off appearance in daytime institution "Days of Our Lives" (NBC, 1965-). Later that same year, DeShon got her big break when she landed the part of Matt Passmore and Stephanie Szostak's free-spirited musically-gifted teenage daughter Anika Truman in "Satisfaction" (USA Network, 2014). DeShon taught herself how to play the guitar for the role and inadvertently became a real-life singer-songwriter when a track she performed in the show, "Come Clean," was made available to download on iTunes. During her stint on the show, DeShon also appeared in her first short film, "A Night at the Fair" (2015).
