Melvin Gregg
Melvin Gregg was an American actor who parlayed a strong social media following into a successful screen career. Born in Portsmouth, VA, Gregg studied marketing at Old Dominion University. While working in marketing, he began uploading selfies to his Instagram account, and soon found himself with 8 million followers. Buoyed by the attention, Gregg decided to take a chance on acting, and quickly landed commercial gigs for brands such as Nike, Google, Gatorade, and Sony. This lead to acting gigs, first on the sitcom "Whatever" (Freeform, 2011-), then in the prison drama "Coldwater" (2013). Gregg also appeared in the third installment of the popular made for TV movie series, "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!" (SyFy, 2015), the horror chiller "A House Is Not a Home" (2015), the Sundance-approved indie drama "The Land", and the Hulu series "Freakish" (Hulu, 2016). Gregg scored his biggest role yet when he landed a series regular gig on the third season of the dramatic reality TV satire "UnREAL" (Lifetime, 2015-).
