Melissa Sue Anderson

Melissa Sue Anderson began acting in television commercials after a dance teacher suggested that her parents find her an agent. She soon began appearing on television shows, including "Bewitched," and had a memorable part as a girl who kissed Bobby Brady on "The Brady Bunch." At age 11, however, she was cast in what would become her signature role: as Mary Ingalls on the television series "Little House on the Prairie" with Michael Landon. Anderson appeared on the show for eight seasons. During this time she made other television appearances, including a Daytime Emmy Award-winning performance in an ABC afterschool special, "Which Mother Is Mine?," and an episode of "Fantasy Island." After leaving "Little House on the Prairie" in 1982, she acted predominantly on television, with small parts on shows like "Murder, She Wrote," as well as recurring roles on "The Love Boat" and "The Equalizer." Through the 1990s and into the 2000s, Anderson continued to act, starring in numerous television series and TV movies.
