Melanie Scrofano
With her knowing stare and knack for wry comedy, many knew actor Melanie Scrofano for her leading role on the supernatural Western series "Wynonna Earp" (Syfy, 2016-). Born in Ottawa, Canada, Scrofano first began modeling at the age of 13. She hadn't yet discovered her love of acting, but her agent began sending her on auditions anyway-since her height of 5'7" wasn't likely to lead to a lucrative modeling career. Soon however, Scrofano was hooked. She made her first TV appearance on an episode of the series "Undressed" (MTV, 1999-2002) in 1999, and never looked back. She would have a recurring role on the Canadian comedy series "Jeff LTD" (CTV, 2005-06) and a supporting role on the show "Pure Pwnage" (Showcase, 2010), and co-starred on the quirky series "Being Erica" (CBC, 2009-2011). Scrofano would make memorable guest appearances as well, such a when she played a very polite woman who becomes possessed by a trash talking demon on an episode of the quirky supernatural series "Warehouse 13" (Syfy, 2009-2014). She would play a recurring role on "Gangland Undercover" (History, 2015-) as well as on the political thriller series "Designated Survivor" (ABC, 2016-18) with Kiefer Sutherland before landing the title role on "Wynonna Earp."
