Melanie Field
Melanie Field was an American actress who began her career on the Broadway stage before taking on a remake of one of the most popular cult comedies of the 1980s. After studying theater at NYU, Field appeared in the ensemble of the 2012 Broadway revival of "Evita," the musical based on the life of Argentinian First Lady Eva Peron. She next appeared as Ottille Schell in a 2014 production of "The Visit" at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Williamstown, MA. Field soon moved to television, taking a role in the sitcom pilot "The Tap" (USA Network, 2017), which unfortunately was not picked up for series. As it turned out, Field had much better luck on her next try, landing the iconic role of ruthless, doomed high school queen bee Heather Chandler (originally played by Kim Walker) in the anthology series remake of the 80s cult classic, "Heathers" (Paramount Network, 2018-).
