Mel Johnson Jr.

Mel Johnson Jr. has built an incredible presence on the big screen throughout his acting career. Johnson's early acting career mostly consisted of roles in various films, such as the crime flick "Murder By Numbers" (1990) with Sam Behrens, the Arnold Schwarzenegger box office smash action flick "Total Recall" (1990) and the comedy "American Blue Note" (1991) with Peter MacNicol. He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including parts on "Designing Women" (CBS, 1986-1993) and "Life Goes On" (ABC, 1989-1993). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Intimate Stranger" (Showtime, 1991-92). Following that project, he worked on "On the Air" (1991-92), "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (1992-99) and "The Practice" (ABC, 1996-2004). Additionally, he later acted in the Michael Citriniti horror movie "Hideous!" (1997). Johnson continued to exercise his talent in the nineties, taking on a mix of projects like "Liberty! The American Revolution" (PBS, 1997-98), "Archibald The Rainbow Painter" (1998) and "Killjoy" (1999) starring Angel Vargas. His credits also expanded to "Ragdoll" with Russell Richardson (1999). Johnson most recently produced the horror flick "The Horrible Doctor Bones" (1999) with Darrow Igus.
