Maxine Gates
Maxine Gates's acting captivated many audiences in the action-packed movies she appeared in throughout her Hollywood career. In 1945, she made her screen debut in an uncredited role in the comedy caper "Here Come The Co-Eds," the first of her many appearances in Abbott & Costello shorts and features. Gates began her career with a role in the dramatic adaptation "Giant" (1956) with Elizabeth Taylor. She then acted in "Lost in Space" (CBS, 1965-68). Later in her career, Gates acted in the Claudia Jennings action flick "The Unholy Rollers" (1972). Gates passed away in July 1990 at the age of 73.
