Matt McKenzie

Actorly good looks and a gruff voice helped Matt McKenzie navigate the choppy waters of Hollywood. The actor was frequently used as voice talent in both video games and animation productions, such as the TV series "Reign: The Conqueror" (1999), in which he vocalized the character of Ptolemy. Of course, it doesn't hurt that McKenzie carries himself with a natural authority. This garnered him many on-camera roles as a military man, cop, or business figure. The upright bearing served him well in several appearances as WASP-y 1960s ad man Crab Colson in the acclaimed TV drama "Mad Men" (2008). Prior to that, he was a presidential protector as Secret Service Agent Hollister in the real-time action series "24" (2007), and kept to the chief-executive theme by guest-starring as a Republican convention speaker in the oval office drama "The West Wing" (2005). McKenzie was just as active in the film world, taking both voice and standard acting roles. He contributed vocals for several characters in the English-language version of the animated fantasy "Princess Mononoke" (1997) and appeared as actor Colin Clive--famous for portraying Dr. Frankenstein to Boris Karloff's monster--in "Gods and Monsters" (1998). Reverting to authority type, McKenzie also voiced the part of Major Elliot in the computer-animated "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" (2001).
