Matt Gutman
American journalist Matt Gutman was born in Princeton, New Jersey. He went to the private school at the Newark Academy and graduated from Williams College in 2000. Gutman moved to Israel in 2001 and reported for The Jerusalem Post covering Israeli-Palestinian relations. During the seven years he lived in the Middle East he covered wars in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Afghanistan. He moved to Miami in 2008 and was hired as an ABC News correspondent. In 2018 Gutman was elevated to Chief National Correspondent for ABC News. In addition to his reporting, Gutman is also an author. His first book "The Boys in the Cave" details the story of the rescue of 13 boys and their coach from the flooded Tham Luang cave in Thailand. His second book, "No Time To Panic", tells his personal story battling anxiety and panic attacks.
