Mary Alden

Mary Alden was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in her acting career, Alden landed roles in various films, including "Birth of a Nation" (1915), the period drama "Intolerance" (1916) with Lillian Gish and "The Good Bad Man" (1916). She also appeared in "Soiled" (1925). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the twenties, appearing in "The Plastic Age" (1925), "Brown of Harvard" (1926) with William Haines and "The Potters" (1927). She also appeared in "Fools For Luck" (1928). Toward the end of her career, she tackled roles in "Someone to Love" (1928), "The Cossacks" (1928) and the comedy "Politics" (1931) with Marie Dressler. Alden more recently acted in the drama "Hell's House" (1932) with Junior Durkin. Alden passed away in July 1946 at the age of 63.
