Martin Benson

Martin Benson was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Benson kickstarted his acting career in various films such as "Lovers, Happy Lovers!" (1954), the Dirk Bogarde comedy sequel "Doctor at Sea" (1955) and "West of Zanzibar" (1955). He also appeared in the Van Johnson mystery "23 Paces to Baker Street" (1956), the adaptation "The King and I" (1956) with Deborah Kerr and the Dirk Bogarde adaptation sequel "Doctor at Large" (1957). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the sixties, appearing in the dramatic adaptation "Oscar Wilde" (1960) with Robert Morley, the Yul Brynner comedic adaptation "Once More, With Feeling" (1960) and the action film "Killers of Kilimanjaro" (1960) with Robert Taylor. He also appeared in the Kerwin Mathews adaptation "The Three Worlds of Gulliver" (1960). Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in the Anthony Quinn drama "Mohammad Messenger of God" (1976), "The Omen" (1976) and "Meetings With Remarkable Men" (1979) with Dragan Maksimovic. He also appeared in "The Sea Wolves" (1980) with Gregory Peck and the drama "The Human Factor" (1980) with Nicol Williamson. Benson most recently appeared on "The Omen Legacy" (AMC, 2001-02).
