Walt (Bryan Cranston) prepares his defense against Gus as Jesse copes by reviving his friendship with Badger and Skinny Pete. Meanwhile, as Skyler (Anna Gunn) hatches a scheme of her own, her sister Marie (Betsy Brandt) struggles to deal with Hank’s (Dean Norris) deep depression.

While Walt (Bryan Cranston) worries about Gus's interference and Jesse’s (Aaron Paul) increasingly fragile state of mind, Skyler (Anna Gunn) steps up the pressure to get what she wants. Hank’s (Dean Norris) moodiness drives Marie (Betsy Brandt) to lapse into some bad habits, which unwittingly uncovers a link that threatens to expose Walt and Jesse.

When Skyler suspects that Walt (Bryan Cranston) isn’t telling her the truth, Skyler (Anna Gunn) adopts a cold and businesslike approach toward him. Meanwhile, as Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) draws him closer, Jesse (Aaron Paul) proves his worth to Mike and Gus' enterprise.
