Maritza Rodríguez
Maritza Rodriguez was a powerhouse Colombian actress and model well-known for her numerous roles on Spanish-language telenovelas, as well as her own line of beauty products. She was born Maritza Rodríguez Gómez in Baranquilla, Colombia. Rodriguez started her career on telenovelas like "Mascarada" (1995), "La mujer en el espejo" (1997) and "Marido y mujer" (1999). She really came to light in the role of Cristal Covarrubias on the telenovela "Ángel Rebelde" (2003). She then went on to play the dual roles of twin sisters Marfil Mondragon de Irázabal and Deborah Mondragón de Dávila in "Acorralada" (2007). From there, she went on to play the evil Sara Andrade in the action drama "El Rostro de Analia" (2008). Rodriguez again did a turn as a lead and her evil twin on action crime drama "La Casa de al Lado" (2011) and then went on to play psychiatrist Antonia Villaroel on "El Rostro de la Venganza" (2012). In 2013, she played the materialistic and snobbish antagonist Teresa Cristina Palmer in "Marido En Alquiler" (2013). In 2016, Telemundo tapped Rodriguez to play the lead of Silvana Chivis, a wealthy mother of three who loses it all when her husband flees police leaving her penniless, in "Silvana sin lana" (2016).
