Marianne Denicourt

There are a couple of titles that jump off the resume of steadily working French actress Marianne Denicourt. The first is the 1996 romantic comedy-drama "My Sex Life... or How I Got Into an Argument." At the César Awards, the movie remarkably scored three future-watch nominations for members of its cast: Denicourt's female co-stars Emannuelle Devos and Jeanne Balibar for Most Promising Actress, Mathieu Amalric for Most Promising Actor. The movie was also up that year for the Golden Palm at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival. In 2000's "Sade," Denicourt was the character of Sensible, one of several prisoners who falls under the spell of the infamously imprisoned Marquis de Sade (Daniel Auteuil). Denicourt herself has never been individually nominated for her work, but she has continued to find gainful employment on both the big and small screens. In 2009, she co-starred in "Reporters," a well-received French TV miniseries about the behind-the-scenes workings of a fictitious news magazine program.
