Mariann Aalda was an accomplished actress, noted for her comedic timing in her roles for television shows. At the start of her acting career, Aalda appeared on television comedies like "The Last Precinct" (NBC, 1985-86), "Designing Women" (CBS, 1986-1993) and "Family Matters" (CBS, 1989-1998). She also landed roles in various films, such as the musical "The Wiz" (1978) with Diana Ross and the Chad Lowe sports comedy "Nobody's Perfect" (1990). She continued her comedic performances throughout the nineties, appearing on"The Royal Family" (CBS, 1991-92) and "Grace Under Fire" (ABC, 1993-98). She also had roles in film during these years, including roles in the Richard Gere box office smash comedy "Pretty Woman" (1990) and "Class Act" (1992) with Christopher "Kid" Reid. Recently, she tackled roles on "Sparks" (1995-97), "The Wayans Bros" (1996-99) and "The Parkers" (UPN, 1998-2004). She also appeared in "All of Us" (2003-07).
