Madhur Jaffrey
Madhur Jaffrey was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Jaffrey's earliest roles were in film, including the Felicity Kendal romance "Shakespeare Wallah" (1966), the drama "The Guru" (1969) with Utpal Dutt and "Autobiography of a Princess" (1975). She also appeared in the Julie Christie drama "Heat and Dust" (1983), "The Assam Garden" (1985) and the mystery thriller "The Perfect Murder" (1990) with Naseeruddin Shah. She continued to work steadily in film throughout the nineties, appearing in "Six Degrees of Separation" (1993), the Jack Nicholson drama "Wolf" (1994) and the Wallace Shawn dramatic adaptation "Vanya on 42nd Street" (1994). She also appeared in "Flawless" (1999). Recently, she tackled roles in "ABCD" (2001), "Prime" (2005) with Meryl Streep and the romance "Partition" (2008) with Jimi Mistry. She also appeared in the Felicity Huffman drama "Phoebe in Wonderland" (2009) and "Hiding Divya" (2010). Most recently, Jaffrey acted in "A Late Quartet" (2012) with Philip Seymour Hoffman.
