Luke Null

Luke Null was an American comedic performer who joined the cast of "Saturday Night Live" (NBC, 1975-) at the start of the long-running show's 43rd season in the fall of 2017. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Null's talent for making people laugh was apparent at a very young age. He would often impress friends and family members with his spot-on impressions of celebrities, and dreamt of one day making a career as an entertainer. His mother, however, wanted him to pursue a more stable career path. Nonetheless, she fully supported Luke when, after graduating from high school, he moved to Chicago to study improv at the world famous improvOlympic. Null took to improvisational comedy rather quickly, and before long was performing all across Chicago as a seasoned comedic entertainer. Null specialized in musical comedy and became such a star attraction at the IO Theater in Chicago that Lorne Michaels eventually took notice. Michaels invited Null out to New York to audition for the upcoming season of "SNL." Null gave a great audition, and kept making the cuts in the long and arduous audition process. When he found out he would be one of three new additions to the cast, one of his first phone calls was to his mother, the same person who politely suggested he should pursue a more stable career.
