Lucy Brown
Lucy Brown has the distinct honor of playing two identical people with different names in the science fiction series "Primeval." The quirky twist of fate is attributed to a temporal anomaly. The actress began the series as Claudia Brown, part of a team investigating rips in time that allow travel into the past and future (and that also allow less-than-savory creatures to follow them back to the present). But in episode 1.6, her character vanished. Lucy Brown returned to the show in episode 2.1, but as the character Jenny Lewis. Apparently, a change in the past, resulting in a change to the future, eliminated the first character from the time line and replaced her with the second. Lucy Brown has starred in several science fiction and fantasy productions, but she has also shined in dramatic roles, including her stint on the short-lived series "The Philanthropist," in which British thespian James Purefoy (of the HBO series "Rome") gallivanted around as a rich playboy expiating his guilt with acts of charity.
