Lourdes Benedicto
If you've flipped through the channels at some point since the mid-1990s, you've probably seen Lourdes Benedicto on a show. In the sci-fi drama "V," a remake of the classic 1983 mini-series, a sexy alien got her pregnant. She was killed in a bank robbery in the critically acclaimed retrospective hold-up drama "The Nine." And she played Bonnie Somerville's love interest on the short-lived businesswoman drama "Cashmere Mafia." Benedicto, who is half-Filipino and half-Spanish, got her big break while attending Carnegie Mellon. The theater major won a Los Angeles actors' showcase to play receptionist Gina Colon on "NYPD Blue" in 1996. Since leaving the gritty police drama in 1997, Benedicto has also appeared in multiple episodes of the hospital ensemble piece "ER," the teen-oriented "Dawson's Creek," and the terrorism-driven action serial "24." Movie credits include two films with completely opposite tones: the drug-addled and autobiographical "Permanent Midnight" and the teen romantic comedy "Drive Me Crazy."
