Loring Smith
Actor Loring Smith appeared in a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Smith appeared in such films as the Bud Abbott musical comedy "Keep 'Em Flying" (1941), "Shadow of the Thin Man" (1941) with William Powell and the Spencer Tracy comedic sports movie "Pat and Mike" (1952). He continued to act in productions like the Red Skelton drama "The Clown" (1953), "Ma and Pa Kettle at Waikiki" (1955) and the comedic adaptation "Happy Anniversary" (1959) with David Niven. He also appeared in "The Cardinal" (1963) with Tom Tryon. He also appeared in the TV special "Miracle on 34th Street" (NBC, 1959-1960). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Twilight Zone" (CBS, 1959-1964). Smith more recently acted in "Hurry Sundown" (1967). Smith passed away in July 1981 at the age of 91.
