Leonardo Daniel
Having graced both television and film screens with his acting abilities, Leonardo Daniel then went on to direct Spanish-language telenolveas. Leonardo Daniel López de Rodas García was born, in Mexico City, Mexico to Lorenzo de Rodas and María Idalia. He began his acting career on "Mundo de juguete" (1974), a long-running telenovela. He continued with smaller roles on other shows like "Pobre Clara" (1975) and "Yo no pedí vivir" (1977), until landing a co-starring role on the Chilean telenovela "María José" (1975). Daniel kept making appearances on various Spanish-language telenovelas, beginning to land larger roles on shows like "Juventud" (1980) and "Chispita" (1983). He took the reins and starred as a main protagonist on "Sí, mi amor" (1984) where his performance as David Kendall broke him out of the pack. Among his first forays into the world of directing were on "Inocente de Ti" (2004), where Daniel was brought on to direct the interior scenes in multiple episodes. He then went on to direct "Bajo las riendas del amor" (2007) a romantic telenovela about a pair of star-crossed lovers. Daniel kept up with the acting and continued to appear on both Latin American television and films. In 2013, he was cast as a co-lead in the hit romantic drama "Dama y obrero," produced and aired in the United States by Telemundo.
