Leon Lontoc

Leon Lontoc found incredible success as an accomplished actor, appearing in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Lontoc appeared in such films as "City Beneath the Sea" (1953) with Robert Ryan, the Eleanor Parker adventurous drama "The Naked Jungle" (1954) and the Humphrey Bogart adaptation "The Left Hand of God" (1955). He also appeared in "The Revolt of Mamie Stover" (1956) with Jane Russell. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the fifties and the sixties, appearing in the Robert Mitchum thrilling adaptation "The Hunters" (1958), "Never So Few" (1959) with Frank Sinatra and the Cary Grant comedy "Operation Petticoat" (1959). He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "The Spiral Road" (1962) with Rock Hudson. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the drama "One Spy Too Many" (1966) with Robert Vaughn and the drama "Panic in the City" (1968) with Nehemiah Persoff. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Burke's Law" (ABC, 1963-65). He also was featured in the TV movie "The Brotherhood of the Bell" (CBS, 1970-71). Lontoc last appeared in "The Adventures of Nick Carter" (NBC, 1971-72). Lontoc passed away in January 1974 at the age of 66.
