Laurent Lafitte

Laurent Lafitte was a French actor who appeared in dozens of films and TV shows in a career that spanned over two decades. Born and raised in the cosmopolitan city of Paris, Lafitte was surrounded by art and artists from a very young age. His primary interest, however, was for performance, and when it came time to enroll in college Lafitte chose to study acting at the Paris Conservatoire. After graduating in the early '90s, Lafitte immediately started to land roles on French television shows like "Classe mannequin" (M6 Métropole Télévision, 1993-94) and "Coronation Street: After Hours" (ITV, 1999). Beginning in the early 2000s, however, Lafitte began appearing almost exclusively in films. Of the various titles he appeared in over the next several years, some of his more notable works included "Whatever You Say" (2002), "Le rôle de sa vie" (2004), and 2006's "Tell No One," the last of which was nominated for several César Awards, the French equivalent of the Oscars. Moving into the 2010s, Lafitte continued to work primarily on the big screen, including "The Love Punch" (2013), "Tristesse Club" (2014), and "L'Art de la fugue" (2014). Lafitte next appeared in the comedy "Daddy or Mommy" (2015), opposite Marina Foïs.
