Lauren Collins
Best known for as Paige Michalchuk on the hit Canadian series "Degrassi: The Next Generation," Lauren Collins began her acting career in the late '90s with a string of small parts on television productions like " Real Kids, Real Adventures," "Once a Thief" and "Rocky Marciano." Before long, Collins was landing recurring roles on Canadian TV series, including that of Linda May in "I Was a Sixth Grade Alien" and Brooke Lanier of "In a Heartbeat." In 2001, she became a member of the cast of the new series Degrassi: The Next Generation," a modern spin-off of the cult hit "Degrassi Junior High," a tween soap opera that ran from 1987 to 1991. Collins went on to appear in more than 130 episodes as the Queen bee Paige, before leaving the series in 2008. Since then, she's been featured in a string of teen-centric projects, including the family sitcom "Life with Derek," the college-set drama series "The Best Years," and the made-for-TV movie "Degrassi Goes Hollywood," where she reprised her role as Paige. Collins has also made her way into film with roles in the Antonio Banderas dance drama "Take the Lead" and the quirky coming-of-age comedy "Charlie Bartlett."
