Lauren Ash
One of the youngest ever members of the Second City Theatre, comedian, actress and writer Lauren Ash delivered on her early promise with roles in "Super Fun Night" (ABC, 2013-14), "Another Period" (Comedy Central, 2015-) and "Superstore" (NBC, 2015-). Born in Belleville, Ontario, Ash was hired by the Second City Toronto Mainstage as a teenager where she formed sketch comedy duo Cory and won multiple Canadian Comedy Awards for her improvisational talents. Following a move to the Chicago Mainstage, Ash made her acting debut as a police officer in fugitive drama "Runaway" (The CW, 2005-06), starred as Scarlett Tucker in fictionalized country music reality show "The Wilkinsons" (CMT, 2006-07) and appeared on the big screen as Holly in offbeat comedy "Lars and the Real Girl" (2007). Ash then gained her first writing credit on the 'Kevin and Howard' episode of mockumentary "Punched Up" (The Comedy Network, 2006-07) before becoming a regular of practical joke show "Howie Do It" (NBC, 2009), surreal sketch show "Hotbox" (The Comedy Network, 2009-2010) and sitcom "Almost Heroes" (Showcase, 2011), as well as the voice of Sam in animated series "The Dating Guy" (Teletoon at Night, 2010). Ash also frequently showed up on "The Ron James Show" (CBC, 2009-2014) and "Scare Tactics" (Syfy, 2003-2013), guested on WWII drama "Bomb Girls" (Global, 2012-13) and played Sylvia in porn satire "Calvin's Dream" (2012) before landing the part of Kimmie's loyal tennis instructor friend Marika in "Super Fun Night" (ABC, 2013-14). Roles as the venomous Carol in romantic drama "Dirty Singles" (2014) and Mindy in "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2" (2015) were then followed by the recurring parts of suffragette Hortense Bellacourt in early 20th Century reality show spoof "Another Period" (Comedy Central, 2015-) and workaholic assistant manager Dina in sitcom "Superstore" (NBC, 2015-).
