Laura Mennell
Actress Laura Mennell is best known for her appearances in science fiction and horror films. The cousin of television actor Alan Young of "Mr. Ed" fame, the Canadian native began her screen career in the late 1990s. Her first major starring role came in the 2004 low-budget horror film "11:11." Following a series of TV guest parts, she tackled a more dramatic part in "Flight 93," the fact-based 2006 film about one of the planes taken over during the 9/11 terror attacks. In 2009, Mennell landed one of her highest-profile roles when she played Jenny Slater in "Watchmen," based on the popular graphic novel. In 2011, she got her first major television series role, co-starring on the cable science fiction drama "Alphas."
