Laura Betti

Laura Betti was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Betti's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as the drama "It Was Night in Rome" (1960) with Giovanna Ralli, the Marcello Mastroianni comedic drama "La Dolce Vita" (1961) and the Terence Stamp dramatic adaptation "Theorem" (1969). She also appeared in "Hatchet For the Honeymoon" (1970). Her film career continued throughout the seventies in productions like "Le Gang" (1977), "Il Gabbiano" (1977) and "Un Papillon sur l'Epaule" (1978) with Lino Ventura. She also appeared in "Little Archimedes" (1979). Nearing the end of her career, she continued to act in the drama "Le Champignon des carpates" (1990) with Tony Marshall, "Le Rose Blue" (1990) and the dramatic period piece "Dames Galantes" (1990) with Richard Bohringer. She also appeared in the Remi Martin romance "Il Segno di Fuoco" (1991). Betti was most recently credited in "Raul - Diritto di uccidere" (2005). Betti's distinctive voice can be heard on the dramatic adaptation "Salo or the 120 Days of Sodom" (1991) with Paolo Bonacelli. Betti passed away in July 2004 at the age of 70.
