Larry Mullen Jr.

Grammy-winning Larry Mullen Jr. was an exceptionally talented musician. During the early part of his Hollywood career, Mullen's creative musical scores were featured in films like the dramatic comedy "Reality Bites" (1994) with Winona Ryder, the action picture "Blown Away" (1994) with Jeff Bridges and the drama "The Blackout" (1997) with Matthew Modine. His music also appeared in the John Travolta dramatic adaptation "A Civil Action" (1998). Though known first for his music, Mullen also acted in "U2 Rattle and Hum" (1988) starring Bono and "U2: Zooropa '93" (1993-94). In the nineties and the early 2000s, Mullen's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the Mel Gibson drama "The Million Dollar Hotel" (2001) and the Vince Vaughn blockbuster romantic comedy "The Break-Up" (2006). Mullen won an Album Of The Year Grammy Award in 1987. Mullen was nominated for a Best Original Song - Motion Picture Golden Globe Award for "Faraway, So Close" in 1993 as well as for a Best Original Song - Motion Picture Golden Globe Award for "Batman Forever" in 1995. Mullen's music was also featured in "Nim's Island" (2008), "It Might Get Loud" (2009) and "The Runway" (2012). In addition to his music, Mullen also appeared on-screen in the documentary "From the Sky Down" (2011) with Bono and "The Man on the Train" (2012). Most recently, Mullen appeared on "HBO/ Untitled U2 Tour Documentary" (HBO, 2015-).
