Kris Bryant

Kristopher Lee Bryant was born in Las Vegas, NV. After playing varsity baseball in high school, Bryant enrolled at the University of San Diego, becoming a record-breaking homerun-hitter for the collegiate team by his junior year in 2013. Bryant was drafted by the Chicago Cubs later that year, starting his career on the Cubs-affiliated minor league farm team the Boise Hawks upon graduation. The following year, Bryant moved over to the Tennessee Smokies, and then to the Iowa Cubs, all before ascending to Major League play in 2015, at which point he formally joined the Chicago Cubs. For his performance on the team, Bryant was named the National League's Rookie of the Year for 2015. The very next year, Bryant joined the Cubs at their first participation in a World Series game since 1945, and their first victory of a World Series since 1908.
