Kj Smith
Born Khaneshia JaNea Smith in Tallahassee, Florida, American actor KJ Smith began her on screen career in 2009. Before becoming an actor, Smith attended Florida State University and Florida A&M University, studying both marketing and journalism, getting her bachelor's degree, and getting a corporate job. In 2009, she began gaining acting experience with small roles and short films. Some of her earliest roles include an episode of "All My Children" (ABC 1970-2011) and a sketch comedian on "Conan" (TBS, 2010-21) and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" (ABC, 2003-). Among dozens of guest-starring roles over the years, Smith had a role on "Queen Sugar" (OWN, 2016-22) and a recurring role for three seasons on the sitcom "Family Time" (Bounce TV, 2012-20). She co-starred in the comedy "A Madea Family Funeral" (2019). She landed a starring role in the drama "The Family Business" (BET, 2018-22). In her most popular role to date, KJ Smith starred in the comedy-drama "Sistas" (BET, 2019-). In 2022 she played a recurring character in the prequel drama series "Power Book III: Raising Kanan" (Starz, 2021-).
