Keith Andes

Keith Andes was a big screen film actor known for powerful performances. Andes kickstarted his acting career in various films such as the dramatic adaptation "Clash By Night" (1952) with Barbara Stanwyck, the Robert Newton action flick "Blackbeard the Pirate" (1952) and the thriller "Split Second" (1953) with Stephen McNally. He also appeared in the war "Away All Boats" (1956) with Jeff Chandler, the drama "Back From Eternity" (1956) with Robert Ryan and the adaptation "Interlude" (1957) with June Allyson. He kept working in film throughout the fifties and the sixties, starring in the musical comedy "Girl Most Likely" (1958) with Jane Powell and "D*mn Citizen!" (1958). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Glynis" (CBS, 1963-64). Andes's music was most recently used in "Turn It Up" (2000) with Pras Michel. In the sixties through the early 2000s, Andes lent his talents to projects like "Birdman and the Galaxy Trio" (NBC, 1967-69), "And Justice For All" (1979) starring Al Pacino and "Sugar Hill" (1994) starring Wesley Snipes. His credits also expanded to the Martin Lawrence and Nia Long hit "Big Momma's House" (2000) Andes passed away in November 2005 at the age of 85.
