Katrin Sass
Though the vast majority of her work has been in television, in parts like Commissioner Tanja Voigt on the police procedural "Polizeiruf 110," Katrin Sass has enjoyed a great deal of acclaim for her roles in film. Her heart-wrenching portrayal of Christiane Kerner in the internationally celebrated "Good Bye, Lenin!" is perhaps most notable, as it earned her several award nominations and wins, including the Audience Award (Best Actress) at the 2003 European Film Awards. She also won the Silver Berlin Bear (Best Actress) for her depiction of a woman coping with divorce, alcoholism, and the effects of her failures as a mother in "Bürgschaft für ein Jahr."
