Katie Walder
Vivacious blonde actress Katie Walder is best known for her work on television, including appearances on "All My Children" and "CSI: Miami," and a recurring role on "Gilmore Girls." Born in Pennsylvania, Walder began acting at an early age, as well as contributing to "Teen" and "Young Miss" magazines as a writer. After studying theatre in college, Walder moved to New York City, where she quickly picked up a role in "All My Children," thus beginning her professional acting career. After appearing in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," Walder was cast as recurring character Janet Billings in the hit WB series "Gilmore Girls." She followed her stint on that show with appearances in "CSI: Miami" and "Without a Trace" before her feature film debut in 2007's "Shelter," which won awards from GLAAD Media, L.A. Outfest and the Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, among others. Following an appearance on the sitcom "Rules of Engagement" and a recurring role on the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother," Walder popped up in the 2008 big-screen comedy "Extreme Movie," featuring Michael Cera and Frankie Muniz and written in part by the Lonely Island's Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer. Walder continues to appear in a wide range of roles, from the "CSI: Miami"-skewering Adult Swim parody "NTSF:SD:SUV:" to the Zooey Deschanel-fronted FOX sitcom "New Girl."
