Katherine Borowitz

Katherine Borowitz rose to fame as an actress, gracing the silver screen many times over the course of her Hollywood career. Borowitz's early roles were in dramas like the Robin Williams film "The World According to Garp" (1982), "Harry & Son" (1984) with Paul Newman and "Baby Boom" (1987) starring Diane Keaton. She also appeared in "Fellow Traveller" (1990) with Ron Silver and Hart Bochner and the Richard Gere film "Internal Affairs" (1990). She also was featured in the miniseries "Evergreen" (1984-85). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the nineties, appearing in "Just Like in the Movies" (1990), the Rod Steiger crime drama "Men of Respect" (1991) and the John Turturro drama "Mac" (1993). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in "Two Thousand and None" (2000), the Billy Bob Thornton crime feature "The Man Who Wasn't There" (2001) and the James Gandolfini musical "Romance and Cigarettes" (2007). She also appeared in the comedic drama "A Serious Man" (2009) with Michael Stuhlbarg. She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-). Borowitz most recently acted in the thriller "Da Sweet Blood of Jesus" (2015) with Stephen T. Williams. Borowitz was hitched to John Turturro and had two sons, Amadeo Turturro and Diego Turturro.
