Kate Jennings Grant

Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Kate Jennings Grant attended the University of Pennsylvania and the Julliard School. Shortly after graduating from Julliard, Grant appeared in the 1996 US tour of the musical "Applause." Her first appearance on Broadway came the next year, as a replacement in "An American Daughter." He first on screen appearance came in 1998, with a supporting role in the Jennifer Aniston/Paul Rudd romantic comedy "The Object of My Affection" (1998). She continued to make guest appearances on shows like "JAG" (NBC, 1995-1996; CBS, 1997-2005) and "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010), as well as supporting roles in features like "Kinsey" (2004). Her first recurring role came in a 2005 arc on "Commander In Chief" (ABC, 2005-2006). Meanwhile, Grant maintained a presence on the boards in New York City, playing in "The Marriage of Bette and Boo" Off Broadway, and soon enough, a lead role on Broadway in the 2009 revival of "Guys and Dolls" which also featured Craig Bierko, Oliver Platt, and Lauren Graham. She continued to appear in small, sometimes recurring roles, most notably a 4-episode arc on "Alpha House" (Amazon, 2013-2014) in 2014. The same year, she again performed on Broadway, this time in "The Country House." In 2016, she was part of the ensemble in the Broadway revival of "Noises Off." In 2016, she appeared for the first time as a series regular, playing a Nancy Grace-type of TV host on "Notorious" (ABC, 2016-) a show examining the intersection of media and the law.
