Kate Bolduan
Kate Bolduan, born Katherine Jean Bolduan, in Goshen, Indiana, built a career as an American broadcast journalist. Before joining CNN, she gained experience as a general assignment reporter for WTVD-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina, and further honed her skills at NBC News and MSNBC in Washington, DC. Bolduan began at CNN in 2007 as a national correspondent for CNN Newsource, where she notably covered the 2008 U.S. presidential election among other significant events. She played a pivotal role as the anchor of "At This Hour with Kate Bolduan" (CNN, 2014-) a program that focuses on daily events with live on-site reports and studio or teleconference interviews. Additionally, she anchored "State of America with Kate Bolduan"(CNN, 2016-19) on CNN International, focusing on U.S. news and affairs for a global audience. Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree in journalism from George Washington University, where she was a walk-on to the women's volleyball team and participated in theatre. Fluent in Spanish, she developed her language skills during a study trip to Madrid. Bolduan's commitment to journalism has also led her to independent activities and advocacy, including work with Free Arts NYC and participation in Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month events. Married to Michael Gershenson since May 2010, the couple had two daughters.
