Karl Markovics

Karl Markovics was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Markovics kickstarted his acting career in various films such as "Drei Herren" (1998) with Karl Merkatz, the comedy "Late Show" (1999) with Thomas Gottschalk and "Geboren in Absurdistan" (2000). He also appeared in the Matt LeBlanc dramedy "All the Queen's Men" (2002), "Mein Morder" (2005) and "The Counterfeiters" (2008). He kept working in film throughout the early 2000s and the 2010s, starring in "Mazie laupitaji" (2009), "Henry of Navarre" (2010) and the Florian Stetter dramatic adaptation "Nanga Parbat" (2010). He also appeared in "Black Brown White" (2011), "Unknown" (2011) with Liam Neeson and "360" (2012) with Anthony Hopkins. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the biographical drama "Die Vermessung der Welt" (2012) with Florian David Fitz, the Burkhard W.R. Ernst musical drama "Mahler on the Couch" (2012) and "Süskind" (2012). He also appeared in the comedy "The Grand Budapest Hotel" (2014) with Ralph Fiennes. Markovics most recently acted in "Devil's Mistress" (2016).
