June Clayworth

Attractive second lead and supporting player signed by Carl Laemmle Jr. of Universal after stage work. Clayworth made her film debut in the charming Margaret Sullavan vehicle, "The Good Fairy" (1935), and brightened a half-dozen B films, sometimes as leading lady, before her 1938 marriage to RKO executive producer Sid Rogell. In the mid-1940s Clayworth returned to play character roles in "Criminal Court" (1946), "Bodyguard" (1948), "At Sword's Point" (1952) and a dozen other features, her last major credit coming in 1960 with "The Marriage-Go-Round."
