Julie Strain

The 1993 Pethouse Pet of the Year, the 6'1" Julie Strain has carved out a career as one of the queens of B-movies. Raised in Concord, California, Strain was discovered at a 1989 boxing match in Las Vegas. She started landing film work in 1990, often appearing topless and unnamed in Hollywood films or with better billing in straight-to-cable or video features in the horror, crime, and softcore erotica genres. Strain has often worked with noted B-movie directors Donald G. Jackson ("The Devil's Pet") and Andy Sidaris ("L.E.T.H.A.L. Ladies: Return to Savage Beach"). She also was a star of Playboy TV's "Sex Court," a softcore spoof of TV court programs. Strain's profile was raised in the mid-1990s, when she met and later married Kevin Eastman, the co-creator of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" franchise and owner of the "Heavy Metal" publication. Together, they collaborated in photography and film, with Strain's animated image and voice appearing in the Eastman-scripted feature "Heavy Metal 2000." Strain and Eastman have also acted together, including 1998's "Lingerie Kickboxer" (her directorial debut) and 1999's "Wasteland Justice." Eastman and Strain quietly divorced in the late 2000s, but Strain continues to work prolifically in films with titles like "The Lusty Busty Babe-a-que" and "Space Girls in Beverly Hills."
