Josh Lieb
Josh Lieb enjoyed award-winning success as a producer and writer on both "The Daily Show" (Comedy Central, 1996-) and "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" (NBC, 2014-) and also topped the New York Times Bestseller list as a children's author. Born in Columbia, SC, Josh Lieb edited the Harvard Lampoon while studying English at the Ivy League university and first showcased his way with words to a wider audience when he joined the writing team of "The Jon Stewart Show" (MTV, 1993-95). After taking on several producing and writing roles on sitcom "NewsRadio" (NBC, 1995-99) over a four-year period, Lieb served as co-executive producer of "The Simpsons" (Fox, 1989-) throughout its 13th and 14th seasons, also penning the episode, "Tales from the Public Domain." Following a similar stint on "Drawn Together" (Comedy Central, 2004-07), Lieb wrote his first feature-length film, the Rob Schneider prison comedy "Big Stan" (2007), and became a vital behind-the-scenes player at "The Daily Show" (Comedy Central, 1996-), winning multiple Emmy Awards for his work on the late-night comedic vehicle for former colleague Jon Stewart. During his three-year stint on the show, Lieb also contributed material to the 2008 Academy Awards, teamed up with Billiam Coronel to pen adult animation "L.A. Dolce Vita" (2008) and reach the top of the New York Times Bestseller list with I Am a Genius of Unspeakable Evil and I Want to Be Your Class President, a young adult tale about a 12-year-old billionaire with world-conquering ambitions. After adding short-lived comedies "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" (Fox, 2011-12) and "Sirens" (USA Network, 2014-15) to his resume and directing three star-studded shorts for non-profit Water.org, Lieb joined the staff of another late-night institution, "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" (NBC, 2014-). After writing and producing over 260 episodes of the show, Lieb took consultant producer roles on tech satire "Silicon Valley" (HBO, 2014-), Sacha Baron Cohen's provocative prank show "Who Is America?" (Showtime, 2018) and the vampire mockumentary "What We Do in the Shadows" (FX, 2019-) and executive produced the televised version of progressive political podcast "Pod Save America" (HBO, 2018). Lieb then followed up his 2015 Arthurian legend-inspired second novel, Ratscalibur, in 2019 with the meta picture book Chapter Two Is Missing.
