Joseph O'Conor
Joseph O'Conor was widely known for his acting on the big screen. O'Conor's early acting career mostly consisted of roles in various films, such as the sci-fi flick "Gorgo" (1961) with Bill Travers, "Oliver!" (1968) with Ron Moody and the dramatic adaptation "A Walk With Love and Death" (1969) with Anjelica Huston. He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Anne of the Thousand Days" (1969) with Richard Burton. He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "The Forsyte Saga" (PBS, 1969-1970). He continued to act in productions like the spy thriller "The Black Windmill" (1974) with Michael Caine and the Alice Krige dramatic adaptation "Scarlet and Black" (1993). He also appeared in the TV special "Romeo and Juliet" (PBS, 1978-79). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Possessed" (PBS, 1970-71). He also lent his voice to the "The Dark Crystal" (1982) film with Jim Henson. In the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in "The Forbidden Quest" (1994), "Tom & Viv" (1994) and "Elizabeth" (1998). He also appeared in "The Messenger: the Story of Joan of Arc" (1999) with Milla Jovovich. Additionally, he appeared on the television special "The Tenant of Wildfell Hall" (PBS, 1997). O'Conor last acted in the Jude Law drama "The Wisdom of Crocodiles" (2000). O'Conor passed away in January 2001 at the age of 91.
