Jonathan Potts
When Jonathan Potts graduated from the theater program at York University in 1989, he probably wasn't expecting to have a long and prolific career in film and television spanning decades and counting; but after years of working in mostly voice acting roles, that's exactly what Potts has accomplished. The Toronto native entered the industry lending his voice to numerous cartoon series, appearing in the much-maligned "Beverly Hills Teens," as well as making a popular turn as Link in "The Legend Of Zelda," quickly developing a reputation amongst his peers as one of the busiest voice actors in the industry. Never one to turn down a role, Potts soon found a niche within the Canadian television industry, playing Herschel in the cult-favorite show"Road To Avonlea," and scoring his first lead role as Jim Houghton in the CBC miniseries "Conspiracy Of Silence." While that remains arguably Potts' most prominent onscreen role, his penchant for keeping busy has found him in Hollywood on occasion, appearing as Professor Lowe in the 2002 slasher flick "Jason X," and working alongside Natalie Portman in "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium." While Potts continues to take on supporting roles in various television series, he has never left the voice acting work that his career is built on, with over 1500 radio shows, television episodes, and commercials to his name.
