Jonathan Kite
Jonathan Kite was an American actor best known for portraying Oleg, the sex-crazed Ukrainian cook from the CBS sitcom "2 Broke Girls" (2011-). Kite was born in Skokie, Illinois where he spent most of his childhood. He frequently visited the comedy scene in Chicago and his exposure to comedic stand-up led him down the path of theater and improv. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Acting. Meanwhile, he also studied at the famed improv comedy school Second City where he honed his improvisational skills and impressions. In 2003, he finally decided it was time to move on from his home state and settle in Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, Kite worked in various TV commercials and independent short films. After several years doing small gigs and theater work on the side, he was cast on the Jamie Foxx-produced sketch comedy series "In the Flow with Affion Crockett" (Fox 2010). While the show was very short-lived, it showcased Kite's vast talent of doing impersonations. In the following year, he was cast in one of the year's most anticipated sitcoms, "2 Broke Girls." Kite played Oleg, the rude but essentially warm-hearted diner cook opposite the show's two female leads, played by Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs.
