Jonah Lees

Jonah Lees enjoyed a prolific career in his native England before breaking into American television with a role in the TV series "Sun Records" (CMT, 2017). Born in London, Lees trained at The Sylvia Young Theatre school, and made his stage debut on London's West End at the age of 10, playing Michael Banks in a revival of "Mary Poppins. " He followed up this debut with a small role in a national tour of "Shadowlands, " starring Charles Dance. After a string of appearances in various films and TV series, Lees received massive acclaim as young Eric Morecambe in the BAFTA-winning biopic, "Eric and Ernie" (BBC, 2011). This lead to an arc on the Renaissance-era drama "Borgia" (SKY Italia/Netflix, 2011-2014), and a supporting role in Matteo Garrone's acclaimed fantasy anthology, "Tale of Tales" (2015). Lees finally got some recognition on the other side of the pond when he played future televangelist Jimmy Swaggart, cousin of rock n' roll hell raiser Jerry Lee Lewis (who was played by Jonah's twin brother, Christian Lees), on the series "Sun Records" (CMT, 2017).
