Jon Wellner
Jon Wellner was best known for his role as the forensic toxicologist Henry Andrews in the hit crime procedural series "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (CBS 2000-15). Wellner was born in Evanston, Illinois. Before his involvement on "CSI," Wellner was a small time actor who appeared in small roles in various television series. His debut began as a guest star on the short-lived television series "Thieves" (ABC 2001), which starred John Stamos and Melissa George as two career thieves who must work for the government after their capture. In the very same year, he also appeared on "Becker" (CBS 1998-2004), "Gilmore Girls" (WB 2000-06 / CW 2006-07), and "The King of Queens" (CBS 1998-2007). While he continued to appear in guest roles on television shows, he landed a job as a researcher for "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", verifying the accuracies of the show's numerous forensic details. On the show's fifth season in 2005, the showrunners brought him on board to play the killer-of-the-week on one of the episodes. Wellner impressed the producers enough that a few weeks later they created a recurring character for him, the Las Vegas lab's resident toxicology expert Henry Andrews. After years of playing Henry Andrews as a recurring character, the producers of "CSI" announced in 2012 that Wellner will join the show as a full-fledged member of the main cast.
