Johnny Vaughan

Johnny Vaughan

After a troubled adolescent period that included a stint in prison for cocaine possession, English television personality Johnny Vaughan decided to turn his life around and focus on a career in the entertainment business. In 1993 he received the break of a lifetime and became the presenter on the British movie review show, "Moviewatch." Vaughan was such a natural in front of the camera, that in 1997 the producers of "Moviewatch "cast him as the host of a weekday morning entertainment show called "The Big Breakfast." Vaughan left the show in 2001 to host his own late-night talk show called "Johnny Vaughan Tonight." That show, however, which was modeled in the same vein as its American counterpart, "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," failed to capture an audience and was not renewed for a second season. In 2004, Vaughan moved to radio, and began hosting the "morning zoo" program, "Capital Breakfast," five days a week on The Capital FM Network. When he's not hosting television and radio programs, Vaughan also dabbles occasionally in film acting. American audiences may remember him as a sleazy awards ceremony host in 2005's "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigalow," which starrred "Saturday Night Live" alum, Rob Schneider.
